Swimming, Softball, and Sunsets

My yesterday…

As soon as I got to the Wrights to keep Janie, she had her swimsuit on. Paige said she had been wanting all morning to go swimming… so that's what we did!

Here she is making me "blueberry lemonade". Yumm! ;-)

One thing Janie says… whenever she wants you to hold her she'll say "hold-you". When I was younger, whenever I wanted Mom to hold me I'd say "momma-hold-you".

I think we got our saying the same way… Mom would always say "You want momma to hold you?"… so whenever I wanted her to hold me I'd say "momma-hold-you". I'm sure Janie gets asked, "You want me to hold you?" so her response when she wants to be held is "hold-you". So funny--we interpreted the phrase just about the same way :-)

Later in the evening I headed to the intramural fields to watch some softball. They played the med students… lets just say they weren't too athletic. Haha! Troy's team "run-ruled" them.

While one of the med students was up to bat, he cranked the ball in the left field and it was a foul hit… but it landed perfectly in the trash can! It was crazy… everyone went nuts.

When he did that, one of the med players yelled to Troy's team (who were killing them!), "You guys have the power, but we have the precision." I thought about that… and basically thats the truth! The pharmacy industry is booming and has much influence and power in this world today. As for doctors of any sort, I sure hope they are precise in all their medical decisions and practices.

I think that person nailed it on the head… although he was just talking about softball ;-)

And then… I got this picture from my Dad… him and Mom are in Florida. Totally uncool… wish I was witnessing that sunset first hand! Way to rub it in, Dad!

(It also doesn't help that they told me they went to The Back Porch last night… their hushpuppies… my favorite!)
