Baked Ziti

There are many steps to make this dish… but its sooooo good!! It also makes A LOT, so I would suggest to either half it depending on how many you're feeding or plan on freezing it to reheat for another meal (which is what we did!)

Ingredients:

1 lb lean ground beef
1 c. onion, chopped
pinch of salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 (32 oz) jar of spaghetti sauce
1 c. chicken broth
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 (16 oz) ziti pasta, cooked and drained
2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large skillet, heat oil and cook onions for 8 minutes, then add garlic and cook for one minute.
Add beef and cook until done, no pink.
Stir in sauce, chicken broth, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano. Heat through.
Stir in 1 c. of sauce mixture into cooked and drained ziti pasta.
Place 1/2 of the coated ziti into a 9x13 dish.
Place 1 1/2 c. of mozzarella cheese and 1/2 c. of Parmesan cheese on top of pasta.
Top with rest of the sauce.
Top with rest of the pasta.
Cover and bake for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and place back in oven until cheese melts.
