Our today

We had another good day today.

Madeline and John David get to open a present each day while their family is out of town for Janie's surgery (which went well! PTL!) This AM, Madeline opened up some Halloween stickers and John David opened up this "goo shy" ball that when you squeeze it, it looks like worms are coming out of it. Yuck! :)

We've had fun hiding these 2 spiders all around the house and "surprising" each other with them. T hid the spider here in the living room last night. John David spotted it today. Gotcha!

And the 2nd spider somehow made it into the car. Madeline informed me she named it "Twinkle" as we were driving to her appt today.

To and from her appt, she watched/I listened to Finding Nemo. I forgot how much I loved that movie! SO cute and seriously funny. I found myself smiling at the humor as I was driving down Poplar.

We remembered to check the chicken coop/egg box to see what all the chicks had been up to…. so T, JD, and I went outside and ended up collecting 7 eggs in total! (Picture only shows 6… we ended up finding the 7th one by the feeder in the coop rather than in the egg box/hay/nest/thing they usually lay them in.

Before bed, Madeline and I went over her sight words/popcorn words and this sheet of paper. She did great! She only misread sentence 3, the word "gray". (I love how her teacher wrote "read to Lauren" :))
