Tuesday night Troy and I went ON A DATE!! Something we haven't done in forever. You'd think as newlyweds with no children, no pets, and no relatives close by we'd have all the free time in the world. But really, we don't! We are surprised at how busy we get and how busy we stay.
So Tuesday night was great… dinner out and chilling at home. Good stuff.
And another bit of info… Elisabeth was "Student of the Week" this week. I got this sweet little song sent to me for such occasion...
And here is her poster all about her
SOOOO… the fun part (for me) of Elisabeth being "Student of the Week" was that I got to go visit her class during story time and read!
Elisabeth didn't know I was coming and was very excited to see me! Ms. Downs let her introduce me to the class and even sit next to me in a chair while all the other students sat on the carpet. Coolest thing ever for a junior k-er, right?!! :)
I loved reading to the little squirts. They were adorable and super interactive while I read the book "There Is A Bird On Your Head"--very cute book.
Before we left to head out, I took E's pic outside her classroom with her poster.
It was a beautiful day so we spent the rest of our afternoon at the park.
And one more picture… I wanted to get one of us at the school, but it got a little crazy after story time was over :) as I'm sure you can imagine with 4-5 year olds.
And as you might be able to guess… Max and Ruby was on TV :) a little more enticing than looking at a camera lens.
