What a fun and busy weekend we had!
I started my Friday out by being with John David, Madeline, and Janie. They were on fall break, so we spent our day outside enjoying the beautiful fall weather!
There were races...
…and sisters laughing. I love this picture :) I kept calling them the spider sisters, because they looked like a spider with 8 legs!
After T got finished with school we immediately loaded the car and headed east! I drove the way home so T could study in the car. When we got to Hendersonville, we went to my parents house to drop our stuff off and let Macy out--Mom had been at Vanderbilt with friend all day, then got dinner with Troy's dad at Sax Deli (Denise was in Michigan visiting her mom). After dinner we went and saw Taken 2 with Brittany and Lawson. Of course, it wasn't as good as the first one… I knew it'd be hard to beat it!
Saturday morning Troy played basketball at Ellis with Lawson and like 14 other guys and Mom and I sat in our pjs and drank coffee and just visited. Macy, of course, sat by my side during it all. It was wonderful!
Then we got ready and headed to a bridal tea for one of my first friends in kindergarten--Meghan. It was a beautifully decorated shower and so fun to see so many familiar faces! Everyone asked about "newlywed life" :) haha…
After the shower, Mom and I headed straight to Emily's 7th birthday party! Emily is my cousin--my aunt and uncle just recently got custody of her and her sister Sarah. This was Emily's first birthday party with all of us!
Here are some pictures from the party. Troy came later, too, once he got done with ball :)

Criss playing in the bouncy castle they had for the party
Mom and Dad had taken Emily shopping earlier. She really liked this Cinderella play-dough thing, but Mom didn't want to get it for her then…she wanted to surprise her with it for her birthday. So Dad distracted Emily while Mom hurried to the counter to pay and put it in the car and rushed back into Target… Emily had no idea. I'm sure a lot of that happened while me and Reece were younger :)
Hey, Aunt Chelle!
Her expression is priceless! :)

I love how Sarah has her arm on Criss's shoulder
Leelan on Uncle Cody :)

After jumping in the bouncy castle. As soon as I got there, Criss told me, "big people can take off their shoes and jump in here, too!" I knew I'd be asked to jump in there… and I did, ha!
Happy 7th birthday sweet girl!
We came back home, rested, then got ready for a wedding. We picked Dad up at the airport and rushed to Scarritt Bennett.
Congrats Krista and Trey!
Elisabeth was at the wedding!
Sunday we went to church at First Baptist then went to Cracker Barrel with my parents, Hicks, Brittany, Lawson, and Averi. It was fun going to eat all together.
We got our stuff together, said our goodbyes, then headed back to Memphis.
It was a fun weekend--celebrating with family, celebrating with friends, embracing our faith, and eating good food. I mean… isn't that what life is all about?!? :)
