My Saturday was filled with sitting-- sitting kids that is!
Earlier in the day I kept Elisabeth. It was a cloudy, cool day--which I actually enjoyed because of how hot its been all summer! I was actually chilled when we were outside riding bikes.
Later in the day, E and I headed to be with John David, Madeline, and Janie for the rest of the night.
Here we are with their chickens--Elisabeth is feeding them.
We also jumped on the trampoline. Their trampoline is like the trampoline that our old backyard neighbors had--its built in-ground.
Here Elisabeth is being "the egg" and Janie is trying to crack her!
Now its John David's turn!
Sweet Janie getting swung by Troy. (Troy came over later in the evening to play with all of us! I knew Elisabeth already loved Troy, and not to my surprise, Janie fell in love as well! John David probably also appreciated his male presence with a house full of girls that night! Ha!)
Troy asked JD to play basketball with him… once the girls knew, they wanted to head out to the court, too!
Madeline's running back in the house to get her "fast shoes", aka her tennis shoes.
Meet Goldbug, the goldendoodle! Sweet puppy! She loved running around outside while we were all out. (They also have a dog named Odie and a cat named Ralph!)
There were races down the driveway...
And also a "volleyball" game between Janie and Elisabeth.
Starting a round of hide-and-go-seek girls vs. boys. The birdhouse was base!
The girls looking for the boys… they were hidden in the fort right behind them!
We had pizza and cheese sticks for dinner. After dinner we spent the rest of the night inside.
Here Madeline and Elisabeth are making butterfly crafts.
Troy and I had an entertaining and energetic night to say the least, ha! We both really do enjoy being with and playing with kids--learning their personalities--and laughing at the funny things they do and say! Wouldn't have wanted to spend my Saturday night any other way!
P.S. Janie is having surgery tomorrow at Le Bonheur to fix her tethered spinal cord. Please say a special prayer for her, her surgeons, and her family! Also, Paige--JD, Madeline, and Janie's mother blogs! Check out her blog here and learn a little more about their story!
