I found this recipe on Pinterest and decided to try it. This was actually my second time to make it. The first time I tried it, I thought it was going to taste more "garlic-y" because the recipe name was "Easy Garlic Chicken". After I tasted it, I realized it really didn't taste like garlic at all, it had more of an Asian taste. So this time I decided to pair it with Knorr's chicken fried rice and steamed broccoli for a more Chinese/Japanese/Asian feel. I also renamed it in my cookbook to "Easy Asian Chicken", haha ;)
Here are the ingredients (They didn't put the adjective "easy" in the title for nothing, haha! Super easy!)
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I cooked 4 chicken tenderloins--I always cook with tenderloins. They cook so much faster and are less likely to be undercooked.)
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees and lightly grease a casserole dish.
2. In small sauté pan, sauté garlic with oil until tender.
3. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar
4. Place chicken breasts in dish and cover with garlic/brown sugar mixture
5. Add salt and pepper to taste (I only added pepper)
6. Bake uncovered for 15-30 minutes, until chicken in completely cooked.
Doesn't get any easier than that!
