Friday night we went to Overton High School's Blue Out game put on by the church we go to here, Highpoint Church.
Highpoint Church does a lot with Overton including mentoring students, providing free tutoring, investing in their sports teams by providing pre-game meals and snacks, helping with FCA, and providing transportation to youth group and events at church… just to name a few.
I think it is a really neat partnership and a great way to reach the community!
I love that the church designates a game for the church to come out and support the team. Highpointers filled the usually-vacant stands to support the players.
It was fun to be at a high school football game again… I haven't watched a game in forever!
Love God. Love people. It's really that basic.
God's definition of what matters is pretty straightforward. He measures our lives by how we love.
