Dessert Obsession, The Bachelor, and A Thought

As of, oh, about last week, I've been obsessed in making (and eating) desserts.
I don't know why.
Maybe because I feel like swimsuit season is still a few months away so I feel like I should deeply indulge while I can.
Or maybe because I have a huge sweet tooth.
I don't really know.

I made this dessert over the weekend.
Its from my Mom and its called "holysmoke".
Its easy.
Its not impressive-I wouldn't suggest to make it to serve at a get together.
But its good.
And great to share with your husband as y'all sit on the couch and watch Netflix over the weekend.

I will share.

Ingredients:
1 block cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
container of cool whip
box of chocolate pudding
milk to make pudding
graham cracker crust (2)

Directions:
Make pudding and let chill in fridge.
Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 c. of cool whip and chill in fridge.
Pour cream cheese mixture in graham cracker crust.
(I didn't photograph this step.)
Then top with pudding.

Then add the remainder of cool whip on top for 3rd layer.

Let chill in fridge overnight.

Its good, I promise.

Today is Monday so that means I watched The Bachelor.
I'm glad Tierra is gone.
She is cray cray.

Like I posted before, I usually paint my nails and eat dessert while I watch The Bachelor, but tonight we had dinner while watching The Bachelor.

Troy didn't get home till after 7. He had been at Baptist for 6 hours working on his patient.
He got his first patient today… "a chemotherapy patient with neutropenia, mucositis, and on TPN"--whatever that means. He has to present to his preceptor tomorrow.
All that to say, he didn't come home until the middle of the show, dinner was ready, we were both starving, I wasn't going to miss my show, so we both ate and watched together. :)

Lastly.
A thought.
Before The Bachelor comes on abc, Family Feud is on.
I usually turn it on and catch the last 10-15 minutes of it as I wait on The Bachelor.
That show is funny.
I laugh when people make their guesses of "what the survey says" and they are waaaaay off.
Like really, there's no way any one of those 100 people really said that when they were surveyed!
But what I do love… is that everyone on the team still supports and applauds their teammate with the absurd, unlikely, off-the-wall answer.
They all still clap and encourage their teammate--maybe trying to bring comfort to them as they're realizing how dumb their answer was, ha.

But it had me thinking… that needs to be my outlook on others.
Although maybe I don't think a person's choice or preference or decision is a great one and the one I, personally, would have chose, I should still smile, applaud, support, and encourage them--maybe not always their choice, preference, or decision--but most certainly them as a person.
Just a thought.
Munch on that.
