Chitlins and a Happy B-day

Okay, not really "chitlins"--which is apparently a food dish made from pig intestines… yuck, but sometimes I like to call "children" chitlins.

Janie and I soaked up the nice upper-60 degree weather earlier this week.
I have missed the sunshine!

Wednesday I helped out at HighPoint again with 4 year olds.
Here they are having goldfish for a snack.
We learned about Rahab and the spies.
I was curious what they would really learn/"take home" from the story.
I was hoping that they wouldn't focus on the "lying" part… lying and saying that she knew nothing of the spies, although she knew they were hiding in the ceiling/roof.
But they didn't… I was relieved :)

And Thursday, Elisabeth and I spent our afternoon together.
She traded her "toy" in from CFA for some ice dream.
Notice the picture on the left with her little smirk.
She asked who I was going to send the picture to… I responded Troy.
And then she smirked and got all giddy. Haha!

And a BIG birthday shoutout to Miss Tarpley--the best 6th grade teacher around!
Love you, Say!

Happy Friday!
