Another weekend came and went…
Friday night Troy and I went to dinner at Carrabba's then red box-ed the movie 2016 (very interesting). Saturday was the first Saturday for us to wake up and have no agenda and it was awesome!! We slept in and went to a movie at noon. (Like I posted in my Facebook status: Troy and I are products of our parents. Last night we went to dinner at Carrabbas, a Hayes favorite. And today we went to the movies in true Watson fashion. Like they say, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree".
After the movie, we went home and I got my things together to head back to H'ville yet again.
I met up with Reece in Green Hills to go to Sprint and get our phones switched out. That is a whole different story for a different day. I can now officially say I am an iPhone owner!
After making the switch, we went and got dinner at McDougal's off 21st/Hillsboro. Nothing like fried bird with honey mustard :)
My date for the evening :)
When I got home, my parents were out back enjoying this…
And it felt oh so good! Too bad we had to go inside and get to work, prepping for the bridal tea the next day!
And of course I got to see this sweet thang:
Macy Kate Hayes. She is the definition of a mess.
And she is obsessed with Dad. The whole time I was home (Sat and Sun) she NEVER left his side. Usually she follows Mom around all the time. She has found a new companion. And has no idea the feeling is not that mutual :)
Sometimes we call Macy Rod Stewart because of her hair.
Don't you see it, too?!
Sunday was the tea for Brittany. It was fun getting everything ready.
Everyone LOVED Mom's ginger fruit tea. Like numerous conversations about it. And I'm not going to lie… it is delicious.
Here is the recipe:
Ginger Fruit Tea:
4 tsp instant unsweet tea
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. orange juice
1 small can frozen limeade
2 liter ginger ale
Mix the first 4 ingredients well. Then stir in 2 liter of ginger. So easy and so good. (Depending on how many you are serving, you will need to double, triple, quadruple, etc. recipe)
Brittany got lots of great things! I'm sure she's more than ready for Sunday, December 30th!
And here's my werewolf husband shaping and trimming his beard. That he refuses to shave. Even if he had a Duck Dynasty beard, I'd still think he's a cutie.
This month is flyingggg… I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week?!
