Celebration

We've spent the last few days in celebration mode.

Troy turned 23 on Friday!

He received this package from his parents on Thursday...

We had already celebrated his bday with his family over T's fall break, so it was a fun surprise to get another present!

There were balloons that spelled out "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROY ADAM" which equalled 23 balloons :) How perfect!

And in each balloon there was a dolla-bill. So fun!

We were sad that his birthday weekend (and also our dating anniversary weekend) fell on a "study weekend". I had planned that he open one gift Friday to Monday and that we'd have a nice celebratory dinner Monday night once his test was over… but we were asked to go to dinner with some friends, so were doing that instead and going to reschedule our dinner :))

All that to say--so late, late, late Friday after coming back home from studying at school…. he opened gift #1 from me. Nothing too special… he had mentioned last week that his Timex "workout" watch went dead, I went to a jewelers in Germantown and had the battery replaced. I also paired the fixed watch with a  couple of his favorite gel pens :)

I told him to not look miserable in the picture so he made this face… oh me.

(and as you can tell, we are full-heartedly participating in No Shave November. And apparently No Haircut November as well. It looks even crazier because he had just gotten out of the shower!!!)

Saturday morning I got up before he did and ran out to get a box of his favorite donuts. He took them with him to school and hopefully shared with some fellow studiers :)

Saturday night, when he got home, he was too tired to open a gift (TOO TIRED TO OPEN A GIFT?!?! NEVER IN MY LIFE!) so he opened 2 on Sunday.

Pharmacokinetics while listening to Pandora, opening presents, and eating pancakes…. what more could you want in a birthday weekend?!

Opened his present from Brittany, Lawson, and Averi and his present from my parents...

Acting like Lebron, excepted with tissue paper. I swear… you can't take him anywhere...

And Sunday night we actually ate birthday cake.

I made Paula Deen's Coconut Cake. I'll have to post the recipe soon.

And finally today was the last day of celebration. One more present from me.
Tickets to see David Crowder next week. And a box of Milk Duds and Sour Patch Kids :)

Happy birthday Troy!
I love you so much!

"Cause everyone that sees you
always wants to know you
and everyone that knows you
always has a smile
you're the dream that I've been chasing
after years of waiting
for a chance to finally shine
everyone calls you amazing
I just call you mine."
