Phone Dump of our Thanksgiving

I think I'm still full from Thanksgiving Day, being that I had two full Thanksgiving meals--for both lunch and dinner :)

Our heading east was nothing out of the norm. We left around 11, got Chick-fil-a in Jackson, and kept on driving till we saw the Batman building…then drove some more to Home Sweet Hendersonville :)

Once we got there, I met up with my momma to do some running around and Troy immediately went to play video games until the usual happened-- basketball at Ellis.

While T played ball, I had a ball with some high school bffs.

Les instagrammed this pic, so I screenshot it and stole it :)

Love you girls. COME LATE DECEMBER and you'll all be reunited… without me :-( But not for too much longer hopefully!

Thursday was a busy day. (SHOUT OUT TO LAINE FOR IT BEING HER BIRTHDAY!) We had lunch with Troy's side of the family and then dinner with mine. Can you say stuffed piglet? That was me.

Our first Thanksgiving as Mr. and Mrs!

And our first Thanksgiving with Emily and Sarah!

Thanksgiving table scape :) I sat with the girls in the kitchen. I think they were banned from sitting in the upholstered chairs. :) ha!

I feel like this next picture should be titled, "If You Give a 7 Year Old Your Phone"… much like "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". (I loved that book!!!) Emily had my phone for about 30 minutes… and took about 50 pictures and a couple videos. You would laugh if you could see all the shots. Including the sweet tea dispenser, the ham, and pumpkin cheesecake. She didn't leave much detail out… its safe to say Thanksgiving 2012 was well documented :)

So good to see Reece and have him for a few days! Lipscomb has the whole week off before Thanksgiving so him and Dad took a father-son trip out to LA and flew back in Thanksgiving Day just in time for dinner. I know they had an awesome time!

Friday morning, T and Reece and company played ball while I had a coffee date with sweet Sara. Always great to chat and catch up with her. She just recently moved back to Hendersonville to start a new job in LaVergne… yet ANOTHER one of my friends back in the Ville! It sure makes my heart happy… as long as they stay in the area until we're back! :)

Friday night we went to dinner with Troy's family and then played games with them plus cousins.

Saturday Troy and I spent the day with Hicks and Denise. We had lunch at Mellow Mushroom, went to Green Hills Mall to do some shopping, and then went to the movies. From the movies, we were dropped off at Chop House to have dinner with my fam.

I'm telling you, its like a marathon when we go visit family :) We get passed around like hot potatoes!

Dinner with these bearded men...

…Dad and I felt left out, so we joined in on the beard action :)

Haaa… the story behind these Duck Dynasty beards is…

while Reece and Dad were out in LA earlier in the week, they went to Jay Leno one night and Phil and Willie Robertson were on the show and they gave out these cool cap/beard thingies before (or maybe after) the show!

Sunday morning, coffee was drank, church was attended, good ole egg, bacon, biscuit breakfast was served, bags were packed, and car was loaded up to head out.

Funny story: Troy and I got a new car (which was and still is a huge blessing) and are in the process of selling mine.

The car is in perfect condition, so Troy set some ground rules for it. Two of which being… no eating in the car and no drinking in the car unless its water (although he has taken back this one and said doesn't have to be just water, but drinks must have a lid haha.)

So as we were heading to church in Dad's tahoe, Troy had a styrofoam cup filled with coffee for the road, and I (jokingly) asked him if this would be allowed in the Armada. Of course, he said no… never.  We hadn't even pulled off our street and Troy had spilled his cup from out of his hands… all over his khakis, my coat, and the floor of the car. Oh my geeze. So we had to pull back in the driveway for him to change and for Dad to try and clean up the coffee before it stayed the carpet floor mats. I told T I'm going to have to make a list of rules specifically for him! I think God was like, "Gotcha! You could lighten up a little, bud." :)

On the road again… documentation of our road trip part 2. Sonic happy hour and a fun little quiz. Luckily we scored high on compatibility, seeing as we're already married and such.

So there… just a little glimpse of our Thanksgiving 2012 via iPhone. We have so incredibly much to be thankful for. Our cups runneth over!!!!!

God is with us
God is on our side
He will make a way
Far above all we know
Far above all we hope
He has done great things!
