During the sweltering heat Troy and I went and saw The Amazing Spiderman. Spiderman is my favorite superhero. Personally, I like the 2002 Spiderman series with Tobey Macguire and Kristen Dunst better, but regardless, I enjoyed it, I love Emma Stone, and I had coke and popcorn. All-around win.
During the sweltering heat I had my initial screening interview at Board of Education for Shelby County Schools (Literally, by the projects. Troy drove me, thank goodness!, and waited until I was done. How did I get so lucky?) Overall, I think it went well. Currently there are 33 open teaching positions, none of which I'm certified for, so we'll just see what happens! I check every hour, on the hour… that's what the "recruiter" who interviewed me said was best to do!
During the sweltering heat, we got our wedding pictures (on a flash drive) in the mail! Anddd… I already had some printed and put in frames. No shame.
During the sweltering heat, T and I spent two evenings with Elisabeth. One night we did puzzles, ate at Booyas, and watched Jack and the Beanstalk. The other night we went with The Pickens to Huey's for dinner and to Windyke Country Club for fireworks. Its always a fun and entertaining time with the Pickens!
During the sweltering heat, you can't help yourself but to have daily ice-cream intake. No better way to end a summer's day.
--I am currently watching Bride Wars, about to start dinner so we can eat when T gets home for work, and all I can think about is… there better be a wedding next year. You know who you are, eligible brides!! :)
