Transitioning

Over the past week and a half, I've been in a transition period. I finished up my 3-month interim at the end of February, and today I start a new teaching venture for the rest of the 13-14 school year.

Last week's happenings:

Running like its my job.
I was directly on target week before last... fell behind one day this past week.
This week's mission is to catch up and keep up.
Twenty nine miles to log.

I am a lover of cute stationery, the art of a hand-written note, and the sending and receiving of snail mail.
A lover, I tell ya.

Alongside my blog: "I have come that they may have life and have it to the FULL."
This is our life.
Looking forward to all the birthdays, weddings, and celebrations. (and this ain't even all of 'em)

Last Monday we woke up to a white blanket. So much so, T's preceptor called and told him not even to come in.
Wellies were a necessity.

During one of my runs this week, I rounded the track corner and saw this sweet man coming in... my Papa.
Getting his walk and work out on. 80 years old and still gettin' it.

Oh, the life of a (temporary) unemployed dog mom. [a SAHDM if you will]
Afternoon dog park visits JUST BECAUSE WE COULD.

She officially makes the "unbuckled passenger" notification come on my dash.
I can't even.

Troy's parents invited us to a benefit concert for Musicians on Call.

Colbie Caillat was my favorite. Not to mention how great of seats we had!

...and we may have gotten a sack-o-goodness on the way home. Ooops.

And to counteract those 12 boxes, there was an early Saturday morning run with my father.

And after that, a birthday brunch with a friend from school at this place THAT I'M OBSESSED WITH. Run by Magdalene graduates and residents, women who have survived prostitution, trafficking, and addiction, the Thistle Stop Cafe sells Nashville-based and fair-trade coffees, teas, and healthy catered foods. I just love everything about it--the opportunity of real life change for these women!

And after that, a bridal shower for my cousin Lacey.
She is getting married in less than 2 weeks... so soon!
I will post more shower photos later.

Anchors are part of her wedding theme, so I ordered her this off of etsy.

and paired it with this pot holder and hot pad.
Mom got her an apron that has the same monogram :)

And after that (and the last event on Saturday) a blessing for a family friend... sweet Carolyne.
I loved the Paddywax candle and box of scriptures as party favors.

And Sunday... the Lord's Day.
And the day, when deciding what to wear to church, you want to dress for Spring but its not quite that time yet.
So you still wear tights.
Sigh.

Have a great Monday!
