Our Vacation to Charleston

We had a great week on vacation with Troy's family last month.
Troy and I drove from Memphis to Nashville, got Brittany, Lawson, and Averi, then drove to Asheville, NC and stayed the night to help break up the trip.
Troy and I literally went from Tennessee's state line to state line. Whew.

Saturday we got up, ate breakfast, then headed out on the road again. Destination: Isle of Palms, SC.

I uploaded the pictures from our trip and they uploaded all out of order. Andddd I don't really feel like fixing them :)

So here are some of the pictures I took to document our trip :)

As a 2 year old, there's a lot of work to be done on the beach.

I'm a sucker for black and white on the beach.

Downtown Charleston. I love all the architecture!

I love these next 3 shots. I told Brittany they all need to be framed in a 3 frame sequence in their house. Love.

We went to Boone Hall Plantation one day. It was really neat.
Two of my favorite stats about the place was that part of The Notebook was filmed there in 2004 and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married there in 2012.

Some of the original slave living quarters

They are so goofy!

Troy throwing ball with his Dad on the beach
I love action shots!

Eating at Water's Edge one evening
That area in Mt. Pleasant was really neat!

On a ferry boat on our way to Ft. Sumter

Troy reading about…Lawson, you'll never guess… cannons! ;)

I took this while on a carriage tour.
This was probably my favorite "touristy" thing we did all week!
I loved seeing all the historic homes in downtown Charleston.

While on the beach one day, a guy was catching baby sharks!
I told him, the next one he caught I wanted to hold.
Well… the next thing he caught was just a white fish, so I just held that instead.
He kept this one to eat.

A buncha crazies...

Us eating on Sullivan's Island

Averi was Project Manager. She had lots of workers.

Uncle T has skills.

We had a great time exploring a new beach and a new city!
