The Hayes Family Vacation officially began yesterday!
Friday night was spent packing.
As you can see, I need to got to Packers Anonymous.
I'm unfamiliar with the term "packing light".
And this didn't include my hanging up clothes.
Help me.
Saturday morning and afternoon was spent driving.
I had a high school English teacher that would always say "All good things start with a train", as he would play old school "filum-stirrups" (film strips) about Tennessee Williams for someone like that (that in fact, started with a train).
In Troy's mind "All good road trips start with Howard's Donuts". So we had to a make a stop for some.
This pretty much describes us.
Strong Tervis advocates.
And him, a lover of milk.
And I, a hater.
"I do not like it in a box.
I do not like it with a fox.
I do not like it in a house.
I do not like it with a mouse.
I do not like it here or there.
I do not like it anywhere."
On a newly discovered highway--78.
Never knew it existed until last weekend.
Now I've traveled on it through 3 different states, 3 different times.
Classic Alabaster, Alabama stop.
God Bless, America, y'all.
We finally arrived to our condo.
Over the last year or so, the Blacks had it completely revamped and renovated and it's so nice. (not that it was previously not nice, but ya know what I'm saying.)
Robin, the interior decorator that has done Aegis's buildings, designed everything in this condo as well. She did a great job!
I thought I'd post some of the updates… especially for Reece to see since he wasn't able to come this year because he's currently doing a May-mester. Because he rocks like that.
dining and living area
I love all the different details of tile found throughout the place… especially this entry area
