Ramblings

Ramblings…

Two more pictures of a cute face :)

Look at this intense meeting of youngsters going on… looks like there are big issues being disgusted.

Elisabeth and I went to Backyard Burger after I got her from school and just as we were finished up ordering a family with 2 kids walked in, one of which goes to school with her!

She was happy to see them and knew they'd be great playmates in the play area, which by the way is super cool. Its like a big tree house. Two for you BB, you go BB!

After getting something to eat, we went home and made these cute Santa and Mrs. Claus ornaments. We even hung them on the "kid" tree :)

A "silly Lauren" story.

Background: whenever I'm with Janie and do something silly/clumsy, she always says, "silly Lauren" and laughs. Example: once I was putting on her shoes and before I could strap the first one, she said it was on the wrong foot. And it was. What was her response? "Silly Lauren hahahaha".

So yesterday I had a "silly Lauren" moment. I was heading out to drop off something at the FedEx store. I put the large box in passenger seat rather in the back. As I was pulling onto Germantown Parkway, my hazards come on. As I briefly mentioned before, Troy and I got a new car… of which I have no idea where the hazard light button is located. I start looking all over the dash… looking for those triangles. Cannot find them anywhere. I keep on driving, looking like an idiot, and realize they cut off. Weird. Relief. Then I realize they come on again! Cue panicky searching. Long story short, the box in the passenger seat was covering up the button and causing it to turn on and off randomly. Thankfully I ended up figuring it all out. Ohhh, silly Lauren.

Its funny how when you live with someone you start to pick up on their tendencies, preferences, and mannerisms. Troy has picked up something from me. He is now an avid coffee drinker. And, might I add, can make a mean pot of coffee. This makes me happy because most mornings when I get up there's already a pot ready for me :) Plus its something that we can sit down and enjoy together. We had a coffee date Tuesday morning. It was grand.

Two mugs. One love.

A new obsession of mine. Dannon's Light and Fit Vanilla Greek yogurt. My very very favorite.

And thats all. Like I said. Ramblings. That, for some reason, my fam enjoys reading :)

For the rest of the evening, you can find me making dinner (including Troy's favorite cheesy bread :) he texted me earlier and said whats for dinner, I responded with "cheesy bread" and he said "quit, no more. I'm in pain because I'm so hungry and that sounds so good". Little does he know caesar salad too which is LOVES… and spaghetti which he is indifferent about, ha!) , addressing and stamping our Christmas cards, and watching the CHRISTMAS 1-HOUR episode of Duck Dynasty. Seriously love this show.

P.S. Two random things in regards Ducky Dynasty.

A great article and a great video.

My fav line from video: "I can look at my two sons and that I have and literally see the New Testament unfolded right there." What a beautiful picture!!

As if I didn't already love a show about rednecks, what this family stands for makes my love for it grow all the more!!

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?
Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket.
Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."
