My day with Elisabeth, Mallory, and Momma Kay!

Yesterday was an adventurous day for me! I spent most of the day with 2 sweet little girls. We started our morning off by finishing up our cereal and playing in the playroom. The girl cousins and I played with the playroom's newest addition: the Lalaloopsy Sew Sweet Character House, and let me tell you what, what a fun time we had! Prince Handsome kept falling asleep so his girlfriend (because "they are not married yet"), Cinder Slippers, had to ask all the other characters--all of which were creatively named--Paint Girl, Flower Girl, Easter Girl, Ice-cream Girl, Bakery Girl, etc.--if they had any special "remedy" or "potion" (good word choice from those girls, I thought!) that could help wake him back up! Sometimes Cinder Slippers used a bucket of Paint Girl's paint to wake him up… sometimes she used one of Easter Girl's magical Easter eggs to wake him up… it changed all the time!

After we satisfied our Lalaloopsy craving, we moved on to playing dolls. We each had 3-4 dolls and had to dress and pack their bags to go camping for the weekend. (Although we stayed in the hotel down the hallway… doesn't sound like true camping to me!) When all our diaper bags were packed up, we headed to the hotel (E's room) and put them to sleep. We were quickly awoken by Mallory's "cock a doodle do" and got back to our camping business. Good stuff.

After a little more dolls, it was time to get dressed out of our pj's and get some lunch. The girls, Momma Kay (grandmother), and I headed to where I think all mothers and their children in the Collierville area wanted to go. Chickfila. Let me tell you… I've never seen a CFA as crowded before in my life. And I've been to tons! We had to wait about 7 minutes just to get a parking spot. Then had to wait in a line that was almost outside to the sidewalk to order our food! They took first names to call out the orders when they were ready--they were that busy! The store was filled with mommas hugging, high fiving, and chatting--kid you not--it was like they were all in some type of club. Cracking. me. up. I did notice a lot of VBS talk and t-shirts, so I'm thinking they all must have headed that way after the church events of the morning. And here in the Bible Belt, VBS is a pretty big deal to mom's and pre-k/elementary aged children.

We finally got our chicken nugget kids meals ordered. Here are the girls with their Polynesian and ranch dipping sauces as they wait for their food… they were "starving".

After eating most of our food, getting our socks on to play in the playset, playing for a good 15 minutes, exchanging our always-educational-never-fun-Chickfila-toy for ice dream cones, and getting our pink balloons--- we left the still very crowded joint and headed to get our tickets to see MADAGASCAR 3! And boy, we were so excited!!

The movie ended up filling up almost completely… everyone must have had the same idea for a fun, rainy, summer afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the movie--I'll admit… It was pretty funny! There was some humor that adults found funnier than the kids, which is always good.
After the movie, we headed back to the house and I headed home. What a fun day with the girls!
