Saturday was Papa's 80th birthday celebration.
He knew about the party, but all of us wearing 'I heart Papa' shirts was a surprise.
My cousin Lacey had the great idea of the t-shirts.
So Mom and Dad ordered them for everybody.
I think they turned out so cute!
Papa was especially surprised.
I'm glad he's feeling better these days.
And hopefully the years worth of unlimited golf at Country Hills will help him heal faster :)
He was extremely surprised about that gift from Mom and Dad and Teena and Nick!
He loves him some golf! It was so funny going up there to get the certificate… they ALLL knew Johnny!
To the man who drove an 18-wheeler at 14 to support his family, who was a cook on ships in the Navy, who has had open heart surgery, and who has a song in the Smithsonian...
...he's my Papa and he turned 80!
