Okay… I really am going to pick this blogging thing back up!
I'll start with a post about our weekend :)
We had such a fun one!
Friday, we grilled out and sat outside for a few hours on our little patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Troy may or may not have fallen asleep out there ;-) Then we came inside and got ready for the David Crowder concert. Remember way back when Troy had his birthday in November and I got him tickets to see David Crowder?! I'm JUST SO SURE that you were losing sleep at night wondering how that concert was because I never posted about it. And that's because it didn't happen! Like a week before the concert, we got a phone call and email saying it had been canceled and we could refund our money. We were super bummed, of course, but were excited when we heard he was coming back! So, I like to think Friday was a very belated birthday present for T ;-)
The concert was great! We love David Crowder and were so excited to be seeing him live. It was at Minglewood Hall and it was standing room only--which was awesome because we had a great view. (but bad because my legs and back got a little tired, haha!)
After the opening artists, Songs of the Fall, performed and while we were waiting for David to come out, I was looking at my phone and opened up Instagram. I was scrolling through, and realized my roommate from MTSU, Katie, was at the concert, too! Cue freaking out mode! So I told Troy I was going to try and find her and Amanda, and I did! I loved seeing you, Katie, and love how the past 2 or 3 times you've been in Memphis, I've seen you! :) Always a fun surprise!
Saturday, Troy had some volunteer work he had to do for school that morning. After that, we took Macy (yes, we have Macy with us… I took her back with me last weekend to keep her since Mom and Dad were going out of town for the week) to Shelby Farms for a walk. Macy LOVES walks and being outside :)
Saturday night we went to dinner with Joey and Whitney. We went to this place called Stix. It was a hibachi grill type place and it was really really good!
These are our "we're so exited for double date night" faces.
Good food and great company!
Great company!
This morning we went to church, ate our Stix leftovers, and did some productive things around the house. Now Macy and I are chilling, while T went into work for a few hours.
We had a great weekend--I hope you did, too!
