New Years Day. First day of 2012. A brand new year. A brand new day. I sure hope the first day of the year determines the rest of the year, because if thats so, 2012 will probably not be too pleasant.
I spent New Years Day night on into the 2nd at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. After being "sick"--I'll leave your imagination to interpret this--for 4 straight hours, a group of about 8 people decided it'd be best for me to seek further medical attention. I was given an IV by EMT in the ambulance. When arriving at Emory, my heart rate was up and I had an 101 degree temp. After 3 bags of IV fluid, a urine sample, a stool sample, 2 blood cultures (3 sticks total because the first one didn't work correctly), and 3 prescriptions, I was finally released. I thought after getting some sleep I'd start to feel better. Well I didn't. THANKFULLY my Dad drove to Atlanta to take me + 1 back home. I've been getting better daily, but still not back to my 100% self.
I am very disappointed I missed Passion, but I listened to almost all the sessions live online. In just 72 hours, college students raised over 3 million dollars to stop human slavery, specifically, human trafficking. (Did you know there are over 27 million slaves on this Earth today... more than ever in history!) Collected, not pledged 3 million dollars. Wow. How amazing. The speakers and musicians were awesome from the computer screen... I can only imagine how great it would have been live. Maybe next year?
