Lauren Lately

I got my football fix this past weekend. Football, fiance, friends, fried chicken (Chick-fil-a twice and Zaxby's in one day... oops), and  the fifty yard line. I was happy.

Last night we went to a concert benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank and I got to hear this angelic voice sing--Dave Barnes.

I started this week at White House Middle School... and so far I LOVE it! I'm going to be working with 5th-8th grade which is a big adjustment, but I'm looking forward to it. They seem to be a fun age. And the classes are 55 minutes long rather than 90 minutes long which I find to be more effective and beneficial for students... no one wants/can do instruction for 90 minutes! Although I'll have 4 different preps for 4 different classes, I think I'll enjoy the 6-period schedule rather than the 4-block schedule (at least for this age group) Go Blue Devils!

I'm going to see Wicked tomorrow night... I'm excited!

I know you have been chomping at the bit to see more renovations, ha, but for real... they are almost all done! All were waiting on now is the plantation shutters to come in for the kitchen/great room/bathroom then it will be done, done, done! It's been a crazy few months at the house!

It hailed today!

Gotcha! It really didn't hail butttttttt we do officially have a "nugget" ice maker... AKA SONIC ICE! My mother is in heaven. She'll probably sit at home and eat ice all day long while playing spider solitaire.

New front door. I got Dad to store the old front door under the house. I hope to do something with it one day. Sentimental towards a door... really, Lauren?! #housethatbuiltme

This is monumental. We got a new fridge. Shannon Self would be proud.
