Just rambling...

Whenever I am in doubt of my career choice, I remind myself of times like this... FALL BREAK! What a perk... no school for me from now until October 19th due to SC's fall break!

I finished up my 1st placement today. I am sad but excited all at the same time. I am ready for change but will miss certain things/people at Gallatin. My 4th block gave me a poster...

It might be hard to read but it says "We will miss u so much". They each signed it and some left funny/sweet comments such as...

I met with my teacher at WHMS today. She seems really nice. I can already tell middle school is going to be COMPLETELY different than high school. (I especially realized this when I spoke at FCA at Ellis on Thursday morning. Middle schoolers are squirmish... they don't stay still!) It'll be interesting to figure out how I can keep them attentive, busy, and interested in the lesson. Oh, another thing... I will be teaching 4 different classes... a 5th grade class, a 6th grade class, a 7th grade class and an 8th grade class. Sheesh... and going from high schoolers all the way down to 5th grade... woah. Even the differences between 5th and 8th seem extreme... well just have to see how it goes!

Oh, I sewed Averi sweet little dress... it went from this:

I bought the fabric and pattern weeks ago but just now finally got around to doing it. I wanted to make her something to wear to the Ellis games--good thing I finished it in time for her to wear it to the last game of the season!

I guess you could say my recent obsession with Pinterest has gotten my creative juices flowing. Not only did I sew something over the last week, I also decided to act upon an interest I had pinned and do this...

An $8 pumpkin from the Methodist church, puff paint, and scrap ribbon (possibly one of the ribbons I had from cheering in HS?) and BAM!... an initial pumpkin!

I'm sorry, but is that not the sweetest face?

What else...

I miss football. I miss watching football. I've only been to a Titans game this year. That's it. And I don't even like pro ball that much... I like college ball! Heck, I even like watching high school ball. Usually by this time of year I have been to MANY games. Troy's game. UT games. High school games when Troy and I were both home on the weekends. Titans games. Even some Vandy games. But so far this fall... just a Titans game. This makes me sad. But good news... were all going to the UT LSU game next Saturday! I can't wait... love me some UT football!!
