The Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre-- The bloody events of February 14, 1929 began nearly five years before with the murder of Dion O’Banion, the leader of Chicago’s north side mob.
This perfectly follows suit with what happened today on campus. There was a shooting in the BAS which is WHERE ALL MY CLASSES ARE! Luckily I don't have class on Mondays.
MTSU making CNN headlines... haha.
So let's recap... in the past month there's been a shooting at my apartment complex and on campus. Take me back to UT, PLEASE!
This weekend Troy and I celebrated Valentine's Day. He surprised me with dinner at his house--candle-lit and all. I was very impressed. He made grilled chicken salad--my favorite, and cheesecake--my favorite. He did such a great job!
I gave him a bunch of kisses—Hershey kisses. Three hundred and sixty five to be exact… one for every day of the year!
Dad sent me a card and a necklace in the mail. I seriously have the best Dad. Ever. In the history of Dads. How did I seriously get the best one?!
Shout out to Robin in Spain! Don’t work too hard! Miss you!
I watched Marley & Me this weekend. I love that movie. It makes me cry every time. And it also makes me want to get a dog. A big dog.
Oh, and I sent Abby the cutest “congrats on your engagement /I’m honored to be in your wedding party gift”—their first Christmas ornament! Mom and Dad still have their first Christmas ornament that we still get out every year. Now Abby and Andy have their very own to get out every year and remember their first married Christmas! Ahhh still can’t believe Abby’s really getting married this summer! Eeee!
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! You are loved.
