This past weekend while I was home, I was driving down Indian Lake Boulevard when I got stopped at one of those out-of-sync-end-up-stopping-at-every-light red lights. As I was sitting there, all these birds... I mean hundreds... maybe thousands... took flight from a field. I mean a tonnnnn! It boggled my mind that those little "insignificant" birds just simutaneously took off at the same time. Not only that, they all stayed together.
It made me think... Who was directing them? Where were they going? How did they know how to all be at that fielded area at the same time? How did they all know when and where to start flying?
And thaaaat made me think of this little bible verse: (Matthew 6)
26Look at the birds in the sky! They don't plant or harvest. They don't even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren't you worth more than birds?
27Can worry make you live longer?
34Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today.
I mean, if God is going to provide and give direction to those little birdies, then BY GOLLY BUM, He's going to provide and give direction us in our lives!
Food for thought... Don't be a worry wart.
