The beginning of November

The beginning of November is always a fun week of celebration. I celebrate because it is finally fall--I can wear sweaters, boots, and scarves; chili and soup sounds good for dinner; leaves are crunchy under my feet; and it means its getting closer and closer to the holiday season. I celebrate because it is my best friend/former boyfriend/now current fiance's birthday! And I celebrate because it is that same dude and I's anniversary. The anniversary of him asking me to be his "girlfriend", me--the wise middle schooler that I was--saying no because I didn't want to ruin our friendship, him persevering and asking me again, me saying yes but then being terrified of him for the next 7 months. Yes, that anniversary. Although that day will always be special to us, soon it will be replaced by a spring day in May. And I can't wait.

With all that being said, I headed to Memphis this weekend to see that boy of mine and to celebrate those 2 fun days.

We started Friday night out with reservations at Texas de Brazil. I think I ate more meat during that meal than I have in the last 8 months combined. But it was delicious.

The rest of the weekend was a walkin' in Memphis, Father of the Bride watchin', chocolate chip pancake makin', Germantown/Midtown explorin', Footloose movie goin', movie theater large Dr. Pepper drinkin', Central BBQ barbeque chicken nachos eatin', presents openin', UT v MTSU/Bama v LSU football watchin', homemade hot fudge makin', hot fudge brownie eatin', church goin', Cowboys playin' kinda weekend.

Also known as the perfect weekend.
