I wish I could say "another dollar", but the fact is student teachers do not get paid. Hmph.
This is what my eyes have looked at the past two weeks
My student teaching experience is going pretty well. My first day (aka the day of my cooperating teacher's surgery) there was almost a fight in class because one student told another that no one liked them because they were bisexual. Yeah, I was blindsided. But since then (thankfully!), there has been little to no more sexual preference comments.
Gallatin High School is different than Hendersonville High School. With that being said, I can say that I appreciate HHS more now than I did before. But in reality, I think its good that I'm getting to observe (even though I didn't get to) and work with a different administration and environment. Variety is the spice of life, right?
Sad news. My lappy has about had it. The screen part is about to separate itself from the drive/keyboard piece. Slowly but surely she is starting to go. It's been almost 4 years though, so who could blame her--lots of traveling and toting around school campuses, vacations, cities, states, etc. Maybe a new lappy will be in my future.
Wedding. Wedding, wedding, wedding. What, I'm planning a wedding? I almost forgot. Ohhh... the need to get back on board the wedding-planning train. Mom and I spent a few hours last night doing things, but before that, we hadn't done anything in weeks! I just hope in the next month of two we will have made many, many more decisions! I'll be glad when I graduate in December and can dedicate lots more time to this exciting, important, yet sometimes over-rated event. (Was that too honest?!) Latest news: contacted calligrapher for invitation ideas. She's going to do our invitation at a workshop/conference she is attending as a sample and well make a decision from there! Love, love, love calligraphy!
Another reno update. Here are some pictures of M & D's bathroom finished.
My mother should be a bathroom design specialist.
Okay, you know how people jump on bandwagons and become obsessed with various things? I've always been one that tries to refrain from jumping on social networking/media bandwagons... like in high school, it took me a while to finally get a Facebook. But I got one. And then I was in denial (and utter confusion) about Twitter. Then I gave in. The newest thing. Pinterest. I have hear people RAVE over the site... but never wanted to get into it. Well, I did. Just last week. And I am obsessed. My time managing skills really wish I hadn't started. But it's just so beautiful. Pictures galore. Ahhh.
Tomorrow's Thursday. My teacher-self is thinking tomorrow's Tuesday. I am so thankful my thinking is wrong. Later peeps.
