Here are some more pictures of Averi!
I took those pictures last weekend... the weekend they brought her home! I went over there that Sunday to see her for the first time since the day she was born. She had already changed a lot to me! Seemed more lively and aware of her surroundings... I got to see her with her eyes open for the first time! I was also there when they gave her her first bath at home! I got to record it with Brittany and Lawson's video camera. It will be so fun to re-watch that when she gets older. I'll probably hate all the baby talk I was doing while recording it haha. But she did so good! She didn't even cry or fuss!
Here is a frame I bought for her nursery that I gave them that night when I visited. I printed off one of the pictures I took at the hospital when she was born and put it in the frame. It turned out so cute!
Her nursery is mostly tans and white/cream with some peach, so the colors matched perfectly! And I printed the picture in sepia tone to go along with the colors of the frame. Love it!
While I was there, Brittany showed me her hospital picture. It is seriously the most precious picture ever. I took a picture of the developed picture with my phone camera... not very good quality, but look how precious it is!!
This weekend, we went over there on Friday to see her. I didn't take any pictures, but she is still perfect as ever! She weighs over 7 lbs now, but still is so tiny! Hicks and Denise kept her while Troy and I and Brittany and Lawson went out to dinner at Fuji's. I believe it was the first time they left her, but it was perfect because we were only gone for about 2 hours.
While we were on our way to dinner, Lawson asked me if I had heard Darius Rucker's song, "It Won't Be Like This For Long". (I had asked him earlier in the week if he had heard Keith Urban's new song, "Without You", and in particular, paid attention to the lyrics "Along came a little girl, and suddenly my little world, just got a whole lot bigger." Apparently, talking music is our thing, haha.) Of course I had heard it. (I LOVE MUSIC!) It really is perfect for the stage of life they are in!
Here it is:
